This season can mean a thousand different things depending on who you are, where you are, and what your life looks like right now. For some people it’s loud and joyful, full of family and tradition. For others it’s quiet, intentional, and held together by blankets, warm drinks, and the people who make them feel safe. And for many of us, it’s a strange mixture of both; connection in one hand, overwhelm in the other.
So whatever this time of year looks like for you, I hope you find a moment of softness in it. A moment that feels like yours. Maybe it is shared with the people you love. Maybe it is found in the peace of a slow morning. Maybe it is simply the comfort of knowing you made it through another year that asked more of you than anyone realizes.
